Who do I see? Everyday people with everyday problems. Anyone with a desire to make changes in their life and in the lives of others. Because part of my office is a play room, adults are often surprised that I see adults as well. My practice is composed of about half adults, and half children.

Why do people come to me?
Family/Relationship Problems
Parenting Issues
School Problems
Depression
Crisis Situations
Sexual Identity Development
Personal Growth and Enrichment
Anxiety, Stress or Hypertension
Chronic Pain or Headaches
Problems at Work
Grief and Loss
Divorce issues (children and adults)
Abuse Victims

How do I help?
We provide a safe, caring and confidential environment to discuss your problems. We guide you to developing long term coping strategies; we do not offer a 'quick fix' for problems.

What do I tell my child about coming to counseling?
I suggest that you tell your child that he or she is coming to talk and play with someone-- you can tell them we usually talk about things like feelings, family, and friends. If your child is in school, you can explain that I am like a guidance counselor but my office is not at school. You can tell them that you will be able to come in my office with them if they choose. I will never force a child to leave their parent.

How do you meet with families?
It is usually helpful if you make an appointment with just the parent or parents first. That way, you are able to give me background information without the child present. I can meet with parents together or separately depending on the relationship between the parents.

Can I talk to you on the telephone before I bring my child or before I come see you?
I don't think it is easy to get a good sense of therapy over the phone. I would suggest you make a first appointment and come meet me. If we decide that it is not a good fit, we can always help you find another therapist. Because the time is reserved for you, I cannot offer a no-charge consultation.

Do you charge for telephone calls?
Yes, telephone calls more than 10 minutes are billed to the client. Because I am not seeing you in person, this amount must be paid in full and cannot be billed to insurance. Please ask my assistant for rates. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties
